With her graduation project WHEN THE SUN CHANGES INTO THE MOON AND NO ONE SEES IT, she won the Shalky Screenplay Prize for best new writing talent at the Netherlands Film Festival in 2025.

Julia Celine Buijs graduated from the Writing For Performance program at HKU in 2025 with a colorful script for an animated film.
She is currently working as a playwright and screenwriter, and is working on youth productions and a stop-motion film, among other things.
She created theatre performances for festivals such as Twee Turven Hoog and De Oversteek. She also performed spoken word and takes casting photos for actors.
